Appeals court says BP blast deal violates U.S. law
HOUSTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Wednesday a plea bargain between the U.S. government and BP Plc's U.S. subsidiary over a deadly 2005 explosion at the company's giant Texas refinery violated U.S. law.
