New York Times plans small number of layoffs: memo
TORONTO (Reuters) - The New York Times Co plans to lay off a small number of newsroom employees at its flagship newspaper, according to an internal memo sent to staff on Wednesday, after it did not get enough response to a buyout package that aimed to trim 100 positions.
